Wildfire Safety and Suppression

As a supervisor, you are responsible for ensuring the safety of your crews and supporting wildfire prevention and response.

The Western Forestry Contractors’ Association has developed this Wildfire Awareness Course to provide the support and education that BC's forestry workers need to meet their fire obligations under the Wildfire Act, keep themselves and their crews safe in the field, and protect our beloved communities.

At the end of this course you should have more knowledge and understanding of when and how to carry out forest activities with a diligent wildfire prevention lens. You will also have some resources to help direct and support your decisions for the forestry work in which you and your team are involved.
